Is Heaven just harps and clouds?? NO!

There are many books out now that have people claiming that they have been to heaven and back. They go to great length attempting to explain (or lie) about what they have supposedly seen. Whether their stories are true or not, I will stick to the Word of God for my instruction on heaven because it is fully sufficient and infallible. What God wanted us to know about heaven, He put in His Word. Please enjoy and be encouraged.

There could very possibly be certain areas in heaven where some people could go, yet others could not. The Bible does not make this entirely clear however.

Psalms 24:3-4 “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”

We know for certain that heaven will be much better than anything that earth could offer.

2 Corinthians 5:8Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.”

Philippians 1:22-23 “”If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!  I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;

Philippians 1:21 “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.”

We know that we will have literal living domains in heaven, so it will not be just some sort of “state of mind”.

John 14:1-2 ““Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.”

Labor will not be hard and there will be rewards based upon what we have done.

Revelations 14:13 “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

1 Peter 1:4 “and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you.”

2 Timothy 4:8 “In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

1 Corinthians 9:25  “They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”

James 1:12 “Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”

Revelation 2:10b “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

Heaven will be a place of perfect joy.

Revelation 21:3-5a “ And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

Revelation 14:7-13 “And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, “They are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

We will have joyous duties, activities that we will do besides worshiping God.

Revelation 22:5 “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Matthew 22:30 “At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.”

Luke 19:15-19   “Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ “Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’ “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more. “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’

We will enjoy such things as feasting and celebration.

Revelation 22:2 “On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month.”

Revelation 19:19 “Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'" And he added, "These are the true words of God."

It has been my pleasure to compile these Scriptures on heaven. Feel free to check on my articles later as I will be doing more compiling and studies on other biblical subjects.
